One of the best parts of exploring North America is that you really don’t have to travel far to find different cultural experiences. Quintessential Americana lives on in those very same places that inspired Arthur Tauck, Sr., to start a brand new industry more than 86 years ago... Stockbridge, Massachusetts, home to Norman Rockwell’s famous Saturday Evening Post covers... coastal Maine, personifying the Yankee sensibility that characterizes classic New England – and Arthur Tauck, Jr. – ... and patriotic cities and towns from Williamsburg and Washington, DC, all the way up the coast to Boston and inland to Philadelphia.
Then there’s our neighbor to the North, Canada, where a wonderful tapestry of cultures, history and savoir faire welcomes travelers with European-influenced traditions and treats in great cosmopolitan cities and strikingly beautiful maritime and mountain landscapes.
Of course, if you like French-inspired cooking, you can join us in New Orleans for a “Bal de Maison” house party with Cajun food, music and stories, a hot spot in more ways than one! Chile lovers will get a real taste of Native American, Spanish and Old West flavors in New Mexico; madeira traditions and garden-graced plantations will make your visit to Savannah feel like something out of “Gone with the Wind”... and in Alaska, the Tlingit people and the wildlife share a glimpse of daily life that is nothing short of impressive. There’s so much more to rediscover in the U.S. and Canada that you simply must see for yourself in 2012 the diversity in North America!
