Makario Sarsozo is a pro- ducer and director in doc- umentary and reality TV, including shows such as Bravo’s Make Me a Super- model, The Fashion Show, and The Real Housewives of New York City, and MTV’s Downtown Girls. Recently he was directing episodes of What Not to Wear for TLC.

In July Leila Joseffer married Gregory Paul in Boston, MA. Suzanne Azara Foley was matron of honor. In June Madeline Fairbanks, a designer for Country Casual, traveled to Jakarta, Indonesia, to tour the company’s manufac- turing facility. She says she was excited to see where some of her furniture designs get made. The new products will launch this spring.

joined the University of Mi- ami’s Miller School of Medicine as an assis- tant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences. She sees patients for neuropsy- chological evaluation and conducts re - search on HIV, cognition, and trauma. Matt Garry and wife Rebecca were mar- ried May 1 in Estero, FL. Chris Humphrey’s wife, Megan, accept- ed a job as head of global communications for Sanofi-Aventis Oncology at its new division in Cambridge, MA. The family “packed up the gypsy cart, threw in the kids,” and moved to the beautiful South Shore village of Cohasset, MA. Chris, a land-use and environmental attorney with Humphrey Law, belongs to the Massachu - setts Bar and has clients on Nantucket. He is excited to expand the firm’s client base in the Boston area. Ben Rubenstein is a senior information


architect at the Wall Street Journal in NYC. He moved to Brooklyn after living in Man - hattan for 11 years. Susan Danielson (susangdanielson@ gmail.com) completed her postdoctoral residency at Princeton University and spent the summer working at a wilderness therapy program in North Carolina. She relocated to Ann Arbor, MI, just in time for winter. She encourages anyone in the area to get in touch with her. Brian Dietz married Randi Kasven last

His work is in a number of exhibi- tions this year, including a traveling show with Joanne LeFrak ’99 that will be in San Francisco, Santa Fe, Chicago, Detroit, Phil - a delphia, and Portland, ME. He encourages Skidmore friends to check it out (at jeff- badger.com). Jeff and wife Lydia Paiste Badger ’97 live in South Portland, ME, with their son Ernie, 3. Allison Mattera Charles and husband Edgar welcomed son Henry on May 28; he joins sister Evelyn, 2. Nancy Simon Cooper, UWW, and hus- band Chuck took 22 family members to Italy for her 70th birthday. They rented a villa in Lucca, Tuscany, that made its own wine and olive oil; the food was unbeliev- able and they had a wonderful time. The family toured Cinque Terre, Siena, and Florence. Nancy also took her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren to Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, and the Chief Crazy Horse Memorial. She suggests that anyone who wants to see America take this trip. “The Badlands will knock you out. It is like walking on the moon.” She wrapped up her summer travels in Cooperstown, NY, with her son and 10-year-old grand- son—“another great trip.” David Politzer moved to Houston, TX,


as assistant professor of photography and digital media at the University of Houston. Barbara Crockett Anderson and hus- band Peter welcomed daughter Abigail on June 10; she joins sister Charlotte. Rena Strober shared the stage with Betty Buckeley, Peter Scolari, and Tuck Watkins in the Off-Broadway comedy White’s Lies. She then moved to Los Angeles to pursue animation, children’s TV, and other fun projects. She spends a lot of time with Lisa Perry and Joachim Horsley, who recently welcomed their first baby, Desmond. Emily Chiarappa Candee and husband Bill happily welcomed son Cole in October 2009. They live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.


In the Netherlands, Megan Breuer spent most of her summer working at Danone Research, aside from a two-week vacation in Denmark and Sweden, which was “just beautiful!” She started a three-year post- doctoral position at the St. Radboud Hos - pital in Nijmegen, examining dysfunction- al mitochondrial homeostasis and its po - tential role in neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Kamila O’Neill Cass obtained a doctor- ate in clinical psychology from the Uni - ver sity of Missouri at Columbia in 2008. The mother of two, she lives and works in Den ver, CO. Tracy West Miller recently landed a job at National Grid as a senior analyst in its en - vironmental division, handling environ- mental licensing and permitting in eastern New York State. She and her husband have a 4-year-old daughter, who has already learned how to ride a bike. Son Lucas was born in July 2009. Brother and sister love to play together.
