Caribbean Challenge Explore this necklace of 32 islands and cays, only nine of them inhabited. Hidden gem

Hidden in a jungled valley on the main island of St. Vincent, the hotel Petit Byahaut can only be reached by boat. Guests can also enjoy a weekly scheduled trip to the Vermont Nature Trail for a rainforest hike and venture into the Byahaut Bat Caves for snorkelling.

Did you know?

Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl, was filmed in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.

St. Vincent & the Grenadines is part of the Windward Islands and lies 34km south of Saint Lucia and 70km west of Barbados. St. Vincent is the largest of the 32 islands and cays, which extend southwest down to Grenada. It’s also home to the capital Kingstown, a Caribbean community enclosed in a colonial landscape of cobbled streets, clashing with colourful markets selling exotic fruits. Other notable islands include Bequia, a quiet haven where time stands still and there are plenty of golden sand beaches to choose from. Or you can watch the yachts come in whilst dining on freshly caught seafood in the seaside town of Port Elizabeth. The island of Mustique is mostly renowned for its famous inhabitants, a crew of actors, musicians, sports stars and the plain filthy rich! This small idyll may only be five miles long but the price attached to its acres of real estate belies its mileage.

Another movie star hideaway is Petit St. Vincent, home to one of the world’s most exclusive resorts, so secluded that guests have to raise a flag to signal for room service. St. Vincent & the Grenadines offers luxury but it also offers culture, soft adventure and beauty.
