Caribbean Challenge

Are you brave enough to ride the rapids of the Balthazar River while experiencing the exotic scenery and tropical vegetation on a river tubing adventure?

Did you know?

The Sunset City Food Festival takes place in the town of Victoria on the final Saturday of every month from about six in the evening to the wee hours of the next morning.

Known as the ‘Spice of the Caribbean’, the wafting scents of nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla perfume the air over the idyllic island of Grenada. Grenada and its sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique are ideal for anyone seeking a relaxing tropical holiday.

Grenada has more than 40 white sandy beaches with turquoise waters, exciting water sports, historical treasures and a lush green interior. One-ninth of Grenada’s 133 square mile landmass is protected parks and natural wildlife sanctuaries where visitors can discover hidden waterfalls and crater lakes.

There is plenty to fit in on a visit to Grenada. A 90-minute catamaran day trip to Carriacou is a ‘must

do’ especially during carnival. River tubing, sailing, whale and dolphin watching or a simple stroll through the St George’s vibrant Saturday market are just a few of the many options on offer. The underwater scenery is every bit as breathtaking as it is above the waves with over 50 dive sites and numerous shipwrecks including the largest wreck in the Caribbean. There’s also a vast array of sea life as well as the world’s first Underwater Sculpture Park, which can be easily accessed by divers, snorkellers or from a glass- bottomed boat.
