BOEING’S NEW – IS IT RIGHT
Boeing now has three aircraft engaged in the flight-test programme for its new B747-8 freighter and it ismaking steady progress toward the first delivery to launch customer Cargolux in the fourth quarter of this year.While the Boeing order book for the big freighter is nicely diversified – eight customers fromAsia, Europe, North America and Russia have ordered 76 of the 140-tonne payload aircraft – onemight look at the customer list and wonder … what about China?

Outlook 2009-2028, Chinawill surpass Japan to boast the second-largest economy in theworldwithin the next 10 years. By 2028, Chinawill account for 42 percent of Asia Pacific’s total economic activity, a giant leap from24 percent in 2008.
