These include newcomers to Superdrug, such as upcycled beauty brand UpCircle and ViDrate hydration drinks. According to the A.S.

GridKor acquires intimate skin care player The Perfect V
US GridKor, a mergers and acquisitions firm, has bought Perfect V Enterprises, the company behind intimate skin care brand The Perfect V. A partnership between GridSwitch and KorDev, GridKor has plans to turn Perfect V Enterprises into an ‘eight figure company’. The Perfect V was founded
by Avonda Urben, who will remain on the board to help guide the business’ direction.
In launching the brand, Urben was inspired by Scandinavian women’s lifestyles, and how they feel comfortable and confident in their own skins. All products are
cruelty-free, ‘clean’, and dermatologist and
gynaecologist vetted, with no parabens, alcohol or sulfates. They are developed to keep the pH balance in check and feature Nordic ingredients.

YSL BLOCKS ROBBIE WILLIAMS’ NEW
SKIN CARE BRAND OVER TRADEMARK UK British singer Robbie Williams’ plans to launch a skin care brand have been blocked by beauty giant Yves Saint Laurent (YSL). YSL claimed the ‘Angels’ singer’s proposed moniker Hopeium is too similar to its fragrance line Black Opium. The L’Oréal-licensed brand has formally raised an objection with the UK government’s Intellectual Property Office (IPO). Williams submitted a UK and US trademark application
for new beauty brand Hopeium in April. The collection is said to include cleansers, serums, moisturisers and fragrances. YSL’s objection could cause problems for the ex-Take That
star. “This has put a spanner in the works for Robbie,” a source told The Sun newspaper. “Nothing can proceed until a decision has been reached. “It could be costly if he has to go back to the drawing board when it comes to the name because that could impact the whole brand and how it is marketed.”
FRANCE Givenchy Parfums has announced singer-songwriter Benjamin Clementine as its new face.
The British artist will front the campaign for the LVMH-owned maison’s upcoming masculine fragrance.
Set for a March 2023 release, it is described by Givenchy Parfums as one of the brand’s biggest and most exciting launches to-date.
Clementine is best known for his first album, At Least For Now, which won the prestigious Mercury Prize in 2015. He also has ‘actor’ on his CV, having appeared in the 2021 Denis Villeneuve adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune.
