Delavie Sciences’ Bacillus Lysate is a novel, patented SPF booster derived from a microorganism that was researched by astronauts on The International Space Station. Delavie features Bacillus Lysate in its Aeonia skin care range
A 20% SPF boost is typical for sunscreens that utilise chemical or mineral UV filters. However, some formulations have seen SPF boosts of well over 50% with the addition of Bacillus Lysate at concentrations ranging from 3-5%.
ANTI-AGEING EFFICACY In addition to SPF boosting, Bacillus Lysate has multiple anti-ageing functionalities; it is an impressive antioxidant and significantly increases hyaluronic acid production in cells. Furthermore, the lysate stimulates sirtuin activity and helps reverse advanced glycation end products (AGEs). The Bacillus Lysate is available in a liquid suspension, which can be easily incorporated in manufacturing by substituting water. Delavie currently features Bacillus Lysate in its Aeonia age-defying serum. Clinical research has established that the serum immediately improves skin’s firmness, elasticity and moisture levels while decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
