Talk 2: Streamlining global supplier raw material documents & compliance management Brands have multiple manufacturing sites that source raw materials from various suppliers with different company standards. In addition, company challenges include constantly evolving consumer perception and choices that are impacting regulations, as well as outdated documents, changes in regulations, changes in supplier and high volumes of raw-material related
data. Furthermore, manual processes to manage raw materials documents and data from suppliers offer poor visibility on formulation compliance in response to internal and external triggers. Raw material compliance is made easier with Freyr rmREADY. Benefits include that companies can manage their product formulations by adding the associated supplier raw materials and other details; providing market-specific regulatory statuses; checking documents’ availability, validity and compliance for each raw material; and generating reports after acquiring requisite approvals. Highlights include:
• Simple and effective cross functional workflows and data management;
• Keeping track of documentation related to raw materials provided by the third-party stakeholders and validating their correctness and completeness from time to time;
• Ease of managing regulatory compliance of formulation raw materials – documents, checklists and market regulations based on various triggers and milestones.
Illustrative triggers for raw material document updates include new formulation requests; reformulation requests; market regulatory challenges; supplier raw material updates; addition of a new supplier; removal of a supplier; addition of markets; and system-
initiated raw material document updates. Freyr can provide ingredient and formulation analysis services including: • Cosmetic formulation reviews for any prohibited ingredients, ingredients with restrictions or any related label warnings to be included, and a review of the final composition of the ingredients;
• Cosmetic label reviews like preparation of the INCI list for inclusion on the product label and the review of label claims, as well as a review of information to be mentioned on cosmetic product labels to ensure compliance in terms of information;
• Claims support for cosmetics, including finished cosmetic products and a review of safety and efficacy data;
• Cosmetic notification and registration, including product classification, compilation of Product Information File and RP;
• Cosmetic safety assessment, such as preparation of toxicology reports, preparation and review of cosmetic product safety reports and
recommendations of lab tests, clinical tests and safety tests;
• Packaging and sustainability solutions and services;
• Regulatory intelligence, including regulatory landscape information and ad-hoc regulatory consultation services
they are connected to a product. Just as some influencers fail to disclose
or otherwise difficult to spot. They should not rely on bios or past posts to communicate to consumers that

that their content is promotional or paid for, the opposite problem is also becoming true. Instead of avoiding using the hashtag #ad, some social media users are using the hashtag to pretend that their content is sponsored when it isn’t. They do this to try to raise their profile and ultimately to encourage brands to engage them as a paid influencer. If someone misrepresents a connection with your brand which causes you damage, you may be able to take action against them for passing off. Influencer fraud is an increasing trend. This is where influencers buy ‘likes’,
engage the support of automated bots, or join coerced engagement groups to increase their following. While none of these things is illegal in itself, if a consumer is induced into buying something because of an untrue statement made by the influencer, possibly in the form of the size of their following, the influencer could be liable for misrepresentation. Brands don’t want to be seen to be
working with influencers who are getting it wrong: they should be doing their homework before engaging an influencer, and continue to work with the influencer to ensure that content is always disclosed using hashtag #ad.
