1. JO LOVES has released its first Middle Eastern-inspired fragrance, Ebony & Cassis, signalling a new era for the brand. The formulation is based on the smells and tastes founder Jo Malone experienced on her travels. The scent is described as “a beautiful union of East meets West”. Base notes of sweetly sharp ripened blackberries and cassis are blended with rich nutmeg, myrrh and dates. The distilled absolute of blackcurrant buds is said to provide a fruity lightness, which is then enveloped by warming patchouli and cedarwood. “It is looking through the eyes of the Middle East and the amazing history, culture and beauty of this part of the world,” said Malone. Three products in the collection are aimed at those with oily and blemish- prone skin.
