In the spirit of CROSSHIRE Rental Rate Roy bids farewell to EHN’s outgoing Editor - in rhyme. A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

So the time has come for him to depart, To put down his pen, a new chapter to start.

No more shows to attend or editorial to write, Without deadlines to meet deep into the night.

Will he miss the miles and the motorway bore, Or the flights and hotels - an absolute chore? Manufacturers’ launches all over place,

Meeting and greeting all with very good grace. A tinge of sadness is sure to come,

As we all realise the work that he’s done. For twenty years he’s been at the helm, And EHN has been his realm.

But he leaves a legacy strong and true, Of a magazine quality for all to view.

Honesty and integrity are his guiding phrases, And his volume of work always amazes.

He will be missed with his quirky style,

With oversized glasses and welcoming smile; Pin-striped grey suit with extremely long tie, Great sartorial elegance of this genuine guy.

But there comes a time when we must slow down, And pass on the baton, hand over the crown. So to Alan Guthrie, we all raise our glass,

To a happy future for an Editor who’s World Class!
