EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW continued
Wider Thwaites option for safety
Thwaites is one of the manufacturers that have reacted to the HAE’s drive to improve site dumper safety. It unveiled a new wide-track version of its small 1-tonne Hi-Tip dumper. The design extends the
protrusion of the heavy-duty grip tread tyres by 100mm on either side to increase the standard machine width of 1.1m to 1.3m, as well as providing a superior ground clearance of 274mm. Thwaites states that, when narrow access is not the priority, this option will give the operator even greater
stability, control and confidence on uneven or challenging terrain. 01926 422471

Box clever with Armorgard
Armorgard launched an updated version of its BarroBox mobile secure tool storage unit. New additions include a wheel lifting lever, which adapts it from a barrow into a secure, static box. This replaces the more cumbersome wind-up mechanism previously used. The manufacturer has also adjusted the handles to a more ergonomic height. The company is also rolling
out its Slam Stop safety feature on various updated products, including the BarroBox. This guard system prevents the heavy lid of the barrow from falling onto users’ hands.
