Legend Brands has upgraded the filters on its Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers, moving from rigid versions to flexible, disposable ones which are lower in price. They are also less likely to snap if bent. The company has created a drying guide to help end users and hirers understand the time
frames and equipment required to remove different levels of moisture in a room. It says that, while hirers buy its dehumidifiers in large numbers, some are unaware that the machines should be run in tandem with air movers. Up to three air movers should be deployed with every dehumidifier, it says.

Making its Show debut, ItalTower exhibited the CronoVan, a very compact lighting tower which is designed to fit into a light commercial vehicle. Its 4m telescopic mast offers 360° rotation and is fitted with 160W LED lights. Safety characteristics include a lock to prevent the mast from rapidly retracting. The Italian company also showed its Tower Loop technology, which is designed to enable

Slanetrac Engineering highlighted a new front chute attachment for its tracked dumpers to facilitate the discharge of wet concrete. A 1-tonne capacity HT1000s machine was shown with the Conchute 750 bolted onto the front of its skip.
This was also the first EHS showing of a Slanetrac dumper fitted with a Stage V emissions
compliant Kohler diesel engine. The machine on display was in the colours of Coppard Plant Hire, which now runs some 80 Slanetrac units in its hire fleet.
