Beeston Month End Sale peaks at £2300 The Beeston Month-End dairy sale is really starting to establish itself as a major event in Wright Marshall’s monthly sales programme of dairy sales. A good entry of calved cows and heifers and a special entry of in-calf heifers from the Boughey family, who are winding down their heifer rearing enterprise, ensured there was a good choice for buyers to come to the sale. Trade was a little slower which was hardly surprising giving the dairy sector, but there was plenty of bidding for all cattle resulting in a 100% clearance.

Five milkers sold for £2000 or more to a top of £2300 for Deedale Nannette 87, a Sandy-Valley X-ray who sold giving 30kg a day to B G and M A Elkin, Holderstone, Staffordshire. The same buyer also paid £2100 for a Regan ALH Derren daughter from the same home.
