the line for Blythbridge Holsteins. Shown six weeks fresh in her fourth lactation she is giving 54kg a day and stood first senior cow at AgriScot 2013 and champion cow in the Scottish herd competition in the same year. Sired by Regancrest Mr Blackjack she is the eighth generation VG or EX with her dam a VG85 Champion daughter.


In the family pair class Brian Weatherup stood top with the dam and daughter pairing of Parkend Sanchez Tamara and her milking heifer Parkend Octavius Tamara, a Weeton Octavius daughter. Blythbridge Holsteins also stood top of the home bred pairs and group of three classes. Their winning pair was third calver Blythbridge Goldwyn Rosalee and fourth calver Blythbridge Blackjack Jackie. They were then joined by Blythbridge Elitist Susan, a heifer in milk to win the group of three.


Judging continued on the Sunday for interbreed classes of calves and showmanship with Brian Weatherup taking to the ring to deliberate. Taking the overall calf championship honours was the Woodhouse family’s Shoreline Shadow Snowdrop who also won the maiden heifer class on Friday. Jonathan Woodhouse also took the showmanship championship title, leading Snowdrop. He was also champion showman at Cumberland Show, has twice competed for Lancashire at the All Breeds All Britain and also represented the UK at the junior show in Cremona last year. Standing reserve to him was Alison Hunter leading Letterkenny Sid Babs, she is also no stranger to success having stood honourable mention at UK Dairy Expo 2015, reserve All Breeds All Britain 2014, champion at Lanarkshire calf show and reserve champion at the Scottish Calf Show 2014.


TOP Blythbridge Goldwyn Rosalee stood second to the champion and then honourable mention.
