This year’s UK Dairy Day is being held at The International Centre in Telford on Wednesday 16th September from 8am to 6pm and will build on the massive success of the inaugural event in 2014, increasing trade stand numbers and sponsor support. This year’s event will also feature increased cattle entries and for the first time the Red Ribbon Sale


argeted firmly at the dairy sector at a time of year when plans and decisions are being made for the winter, UK Dairy Day is organised by Holstein UK with support from a wide range of industry organisations and businesses from across the dairy sector. Featuring more than 7000 square feet of trade stands covering everything from feed to parlours, the event will showcase the best of British dairy breeds, with more than 180 cattle entered for the competitive classes across the Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Dairy Shorthorn, Jersey and Holstein herds.

The theme for 2015 is ‘Sharing knowledge’, with UK Dairy Day featuring a new learning and development zone, with seminar sessions indoors and outdoors to engage, inspire and educate. Over 300 dairy businesses will be represented with the UK Dairy Day team are building on the highly successful 2014 event, which saw excellent visitor and exhibitor feedback.


2015


Alongside the new learning and development zone the event will also include a new product display area for companies to showcase the very latest developments in products and services.


Learning and Development Zone The Learning and Development Zone is sponsored by ADF Milking and incorporates the new Making Most of Milk Zone. Supporting this new first floor area for UK Dairy Day 2015 will be the National Federation of Young Farmers, AHDB Dairy and Dairy Pro. Central to this exciting area of the event will be a series of seminars, with key presentations focusing on subjects related to the cow, farm and team. Alongside this will be a careers board featuring the latest opportunities in the dairy industry and a CV clinic to help applicants get their CV and job applications noticed by potential employers.
