The Polaris
System sets a new DTG standard from M&R. Designed to handle a workfl ow automation and high-quality output, the Polaris is set to accelerate one-of-a-kind production.
The Polaris utilises more than 12 different hardware and software systems operating in harmony to achieve industry leading production speeds and exceptional print quality. The enhanced print quality of the Polaris comes from the two industrial digital print engines, with a 15in-wide print head array for high-speed, single-axis printing.
Another key contributor to image quality is M&R’s print sequencing, where pretreatment is applied and dried prior to the application of the white ink, which is then fl ashed before printing the CMYK inks. Other features of the Polaris include an automated pretreatment application system which is programmable for different colours and types of garments. Onboard heat presses for fi bre matte-down to create a smooth printing surface. High-velocity air fl ow quartz fl ash cure units, and a barcode scanner that supports on-demand printing.
This equipment allows printers to meet the variety and speed needed for an on-demand throughput required by the current e-commerce market.
