Focus on Digital Printing

Digital printing is a method of printing from a digital-based image directly to a variety of media. Take a look over the following pages at the options currently available in the market; from dye sublimation printers to direct to film equipment.

New additions to range

Xpres has been adding to an already huge range of solutions for personalisation and branding, including DTG, DTF and sublimation technologies. Direct to fi lm (DTF) printing is rapidly becoming a popular option for companies looking to grow their decorated clothing business. Xpres has now created a package whereby with one printer and one ink set, you can use two processes. The bundle for both DTG and DTF printing processes for the cost of a single DTG printer is available now!

Epson’s SureColour SC-F2100 is the complete package for designing and printing seamlessly between direct to garment and direct to fi lm whether it’s T shirts, polo shirts, tote bags or other fabric items. As there is only one ink type needed for both technologies, there is no need to fl ush inks through when switching between the two methods of garment decoration. When ordered with the Xpres DTF Bundle, the SC-F2100 comes complete with a full set of inks.

The package also comes with a DTF Cure Box, Tray and Shaker kit, a vital part of the DTF printing process. The cure box is designed for PET transfer curing. It allows you to melt DTF powder evenly without using a heat press. The DTF tray and shaker allows for hotmelt powder to be sprinkled evenly over the ink and any overspill is gathered in the tray. The tray has a spout for easy pouring back into the hotmelt powder shaker.

The bundle is then completed with the DTF Hot Melt Powder 1kg Bag (white) and 100 sheets of A3 DTF fi lm. The white powder is ideal for all coloured garments except black. For black garments, it is recommended that you use a black powder, also available from Xpres.

For customers looking for that next step on from the SC-F2100, Xpres is also the exclusive dealer for the more industrial SC-F3000 unit. Easily capable of producing up to 60 prints per hour. With market leading ink costs and performance to go alongside it the SC-F3000 continues to be the go-to for customers expanding their DTG operations.

Aeoon’s Compact

Xpres

Another exciting development came earlier this year with Aeoon Technologies appointing Xpres as its exclusive UK partner, supplying a full range of automated industrial DTG printers and pretreatment units for the digital textile printing market. One of many exciting options within the Aeoon range is the Compact DTG Printer. This high-performance industrial textile printer is the ideal solution for new or experienced textile printing companies. The Compact Series offers high output with an average of 150+ pieces per hour and unmatched print quality, in a smaller footprint than Aeoon’s fl agship Kyo Series. Aeoon’s RIP software optimises high resolution artwork with a touch of a key, sends it to the printer and is ready to go. The software automatically adjusts the white under base to optimise the cost per print which is signifi cantly lower than competitors. aeoon offer a large selection of platens to offer the most fl exibility for customers and, like all Aeoon printers, deliver high-resolution quality prints.

An unrivalled level of production The R-Jet PRO DTF has been in the fi eld for two years now and this fully

automated system has remained one of the most popular in the UK. Version four is now available with some additional features that make the R-Jet PRO DTF even better. V4 has a new film feed system that monitors the film tension and warns the operator when a new roll needs to be loaded. The R-Jet PRO DTF now has a built-in computer station which reduces cables across the floor and makes running multiple systems more efficient.

When used in its automatic reel-to-reel mode the R-Jet PRO DTF can produce up to 1,000 chest print images ready to use within an hour. With only a 10 second heat press required it is possible to produce a lot of garments per day and the printer can be run by one operator reducing labour costs while maximising margins. There are not many garment printing processes that can match this level of production, considering it is capable of variable data processing at these speeds and requires no pretreatment or weeding.
