Photo Shoot
We go behind the scenes with Stephanie Marshall, marketing co-ordinator at AWDis, as they create their 2023 photography; starting with the initial concepts right through to shoot day.

planned months in advance by the AWDis marketing team
This is so we can make sure we have all of the models, props and locations needed to execute the multiple brand visions to perfection. For 2023 two main elements were incorporated into the shoots; the fi rst was a focus on elevating
all the brands to make sure they fi t into the ever-changing fashion environment, and secondly, making sure the end result refl ected the fun element of the brands. As all of the photos are used by printers and embroiderers, we leaned heavily on the Business Development team to speak to customers and fi nd out what they would like to see within the images. Concept build
During the concept build phase, we rely on mind mapping, Pinterest boards, plenty of creative meetings and travel, plus lots of coffee! We joined forces with creative agencies to build the look and feel we wanted to create from the photography.
This year the shoots were organised around train cancellations and strikes, so getting the crew together was harder than usual.
As you will be able to see from the 2023 photography in the new year, the team perfectly understand that seeing the garment’s decorating possibilities is key for printers and embroiderers, and this is refl ected in the imagery.

Gone are the days of static shots, photography is quickly moving into the days of pushing the boundaries and making an impression in the market.
