These shows are a great place to not only experience all of the latest innovations our industry has to offer, but to also catch up with old friends – and hopefully make some new ones! This is my first visit to EAS so please do come and say hello, I don’t think I have changed too much since my editor picture was taken…
This is our EAS show issue and it really is a great one, we have an extended news section this issue to include all of the fantastic announcements that were made on World Rollercoaster Day (Aug 16). These include the announcement of four new coasters from Rocky Mountain Construction – 2018 is definitely set to be a busy year for them!
We have some great features in this issue too including a park profile on Mirabilandia, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year (pg 56). The park certainly has what can be described as a colourful history and even faced the threat of closure at one point. Now in 2017 they are stronger than ever, and are celebrating the success of their new VR coaster.
As ever in this issue we feature some of the best new rides to open recently including the Haunted Mine Drop at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. This ride really is the first of its kind and a completely new concept, something which is rare in this ever-competitive market; turn to page 39 to find out why!
