The last three years have seen Mirabilandia carry out significant works to the theming of the park, whic h included opening Dinoland – a new dinosaur themed area t hat required the park to re-name and re- theme existing attractions.

The latest themed area of the park is F W ar West Valley,

which was completed only last year. This new ar ea has a surface area of 19,000 square meters and is a replica of an old western town – a theme that seems to be a park favourite. Three existing attractions have been re-themed to fit in to the old western area, two new playgrounds have been installed and the park has received three brand new attractions.

These new attractions include the Buffalo Bill Rodeo, a Disk’o coaster by Zamperla that has a total track length of 80 meters, a max height of 13 meters and a max speed of 45 kh. The other two attractions are more family friendly and include Geronimo, two towers manufactured by Sunkid, with a max height of nine meters and Aquila Tonante, a kite flyer

To 60

produced by Zamperla, that has a max height of six meter s. The latest attraction for 2017 is the reinvention of one of the parks most loved rides, a dual-tracked roller coaster produced by Preston & Barberi. Master Thai has been reinvented with the use of virtual reality and now takes guests on a journey through the jungle. The VR technology was developed together with VR Coaster and Max Valley who designed the 3D animation and gamification during the ride.

The future

Mirabilandia have been quite tight lipped about what the future has in store for the park, only revealing to Park World that they are planning on developing a brand new area in the northern part of the park. What this area will be, or the attractions it will contain are still a mystery.

They also let slip that due to the success of their water park Mirabeach, this too will be having an expansion in 2018, no further details have been released as of yet though. For a park with a more than colourful history, we will definitely be keeping a close eye on Mirabilandia’s next move.
