Paul Noland


Premier technology solutions provider to the leisure and entertainment sector accesso generated $133 million in revenue over the past year - almost tripling its 2012 total. Recently-appointed CEO Paul Noland speaks to editor Bryony Andrews about how the company’s comprehensive product suite and unique offerings can benefit operator and guest alike

Early in his career, he held a role as co- developer of a revenue management initiative at hotel chain Marriott International, with the objective of maximising income and creating positive customer perceptions. He led a team responsible for yield management, pricing and property reservation sales. “It was data analytics, but it really brought more science to the process of setting prices and inventory and distribution, for forecasting and optimisation use,” Noland explains. join the board of the pre-eminent trade association for the parks and attractions industry, IAAPA, and soon after leaving Disney he was invited to come on board as IAAPA’s CEO, a position he held for five and a half years. “It was a great opportunity to work with a great organisation, and was a chance to truly get a perspective on the industry and its key players,” says Noland. Early in 2018, conversations with accesso executive chairman Tom Burnet and then CEO Steve Brown led to the offer of a new professional opportunity as CEO of accesso. “Sometimes things come along in your career that you just can’t turn down,” Noland shares. “Given my past, and my connection to technology that empowers the leisure and travel industry, this was just one of those once in a lifetime kind of things. IAAPA was terrific, I would have been very happy to continue to be there - that was the plan - but then this opportunity came along, and it just wasn’t one I could leave on the table.”


Noland joined accesso in April of this year. “It’s been a busy couple of months – there are a lot of people to get to know! We have more than 500 employees all around the globe. It’s been a whirlwind of getting out and meeting everybody. It really has flown.”
