Bobbejaanland invests in new park area

Bobbejaanland have announced the construction of a new area in their Belgium based theme park. The new area will cover more than two hectares, with the park – located in Lichtaart – spanning 3,000 metres-squared in its entirety. The Typhoon rollercoaster and Frisbee Sledge Hammer attractions will be part of the

themed area, along with a new flagship triple launch rollercoaster from the German manufacturer Gerstlauer. “The 2019 project is a big opportunity for the Bobbejaanland team, together we will

have the chance to bring what visitors look forward to: a real sensation in a nicely themed area,” said marketing director Peggy Verelst. “Gerstlauer proposed a great triple launch coaster that in all aspects will go beyond the expectation of the visitors. The coaster is designed for the park’s themed area, and with this investment we want to continue on the path of growth.” Bobbejaanland’s new park area will open to the public in spring 2019.

Leolandia to welcome PJ Masks

Entertainment One have announced a new agreement with Italian theme park, Leolandia, for the world’s first PJ Masks themed attraction based on its animated preschool TV property. Development is underway for a new area dedicated to PJ

Masks’ trio of heroes at the theme park based just outside Milan. The area will feature the characters’ hideout, and the exclusive multi-year agreement will mark the brand’s entrance into the theme park arena when it opens its doors to the public in 2019 and extends the partnership between eOne and Leonlandia. partnership follows a previous collaboration on the Il Mondo di Peppa Pig in 2014. “PJ Masks has rapidly soared in popularity to become one of

the leading preschool properties in Italy, so a dedicated themed attraction is the obvious next step in the incredible trajectory of this much-loved children’s brand,” said eOne’s Andrew Carley. “The significant investment that Leolandia is making underlines our own strategy of building the brand for the long term and we’re delighted to be partnering with them to bring the show to life.”
