W.A. Alter, Inc. of San Francisco and Triotech have announced that The Flyer – San Francisco, will take flight this summer at Pier 39 in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. Featuring cinematic artistry and state-of-the-art HD film footage captured with the help of drones and helicopters, and blended with computer- generated imagery (CGI).
Following a pre-show experience that includes the opportunity to take a
souvenir photo, guests will take their seats. The floors will slip away and 28 guests will be suspended in front of the 1100 square foot or 102 square metre curved screen as they take a six-minute 3D flight through some of Bay Area’s iconic landmarks and neighborhoods, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, Marin Headlands, Chinatown, the Castro, and more. For The Flyer – San Francisco, W.A. Alter, Inc. and Triotech collaborated with
the award-winning mix media development house Fly Studio on the production of the film, which will be shown on state-of-the-art screen manufactured by Spitz, complete with digital projections by Christie.
First stage
installation begins at ‘Island of Dreams’
S
uper-reliable individual foundations have been installed in “Ostrov Mechty”, Russia’s upcoming indoor theme park located in the Nagatinskaya Poyma.
Island of Dreams will feature a "dark" rolling mountain with steep turns and
trucks able to rapidly accelerate and develop speeds of up to 80 km / h. The route of the hill is completely themed from the landing zone until the end of the ride, and is currently being designed and installed by Intamin Amusement Rides (Liechtenstein). The park will also house media-attractions designed for all age groups, with Flight Into the World of Dinosaurs being the largest one. The production of the attraction is carried out by amusement manufacturer - Huss Park Attractions GmbH. The principle of its operation is based on the technology of "flying theatre" flight simulations.
Universal Orlando Resort releases a first look at Fast & Furious – Supercharged
Universal Studios Florida will soon welcome its new Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction. Guests will be able to encounter characters from the Fast & Furious movie franchise and check out 15 authentic vehicles; 12 of which come directly from the film, and 3 created exclusively for the attraction by Dennis McCarthy, the man behind the cars for the Fast & Furious films. After entering the pre-show and spotting their favourite characters, guests will
be invited to attend a race after-party – and be caught up in a high-speed chase on party buses. This finale will take place in an immersion tunnel, where ride vehicles are anchored to motion simulator bases and synced to 3D footage projected onto a wraparound screen. Fast & Furious – Supercharged will open in spring 2018.
