John Pettit appointed Executive Chairman at Press Box PR


Press Box PR has appointed former Playtech Chief Commercial Officer John Pettit as Executive Chairman.


Pettit has been involved with the agency since 2020, initially investing in the business and supporting its commercial strategy in a non-executive capacity. His appointment formalises that role as the agency continues to expand its client base across gambling, sports and technology sectors.


Founder and Managing Director, Alex Donohue, said the appointment reflects both the scale Press Box PR has reached and its long-term ambitions.


Pettit said he was attracted to the agency’s


focus on earned media and its understanding of regulated industries.


Press Box PR operates from offices in London and Manchester and works with global operators, suppliers and fintech businesses.


SEGA Amusements showcases new products at EAG 2026

SEGA Amusements International has presented its latest product portfolio at EAG 2026 in London. The company showcased new redemption, video and prize games, alongside updates to established titles. Products on display included Go Go Ducky, Putt It! Par-Tee and Daytona Championship USA Motion Edition, as well as cashless and venue support solutions. SEGA Amusements also marked two industry recognitions during the show, with posthumous and long-service awards presented by BACTA. The supplier said EAG remains an important opportunity to engage directly with operators and partners at the start of the trading year.


Merkur Group presents new products and booth concept at ICE 2026


Merkur Group presented a redesigned booth concept and a wide range of new products at ICE 2026 in Barcelona.


Across the exhibition, the group showcased content from multiple subsidiaries, including


new jackpot systems, cabinet developments and multigame packages from Merkur Gaming.


Dominik Raasch, Management Board Member for Merkur Games, said the presentation reflected the division’s ongoing


transformation and product strategy.


Additional group brands, including Blueprint, GeWeTe, Bede Gaming and Spintec, also presented solutions spanning land-based, online and ETG segments.


Merkur said the show provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions with operators from Europe, the Americas and Latin America.

Soft2Bet has appointed Andrew Cochrane as Chief Commercial Officer as the group continues its expansion across regulated markets. Cochrane will oversee global commercial strategy, partnerships and growth across the operator and platform provider’s business units. He joins Soft2Bet from Gaming Innovation Group, where he served as Chief Business Officer. His previous roles include senior commercial positions at DraftKings and SBTech. Cochrane said he was joining the business at a key stage in its development and looked forward to supporting its long-term growth strategy. Soft2Bet stated that the appointment strengthens its leadership team as it focuses on player experience, regulatory compliance and sustainable expansion.

The company said the new positioning reflects how it supports operators through modular technology, local expertise and hands-on delivery. CEO Tom Ustunel said the relaunch aligns the brand more closely with Sportingtech’s platform capabilities and organisational culture. Head of Brand Laura Main added that the refresh is intended to clearly
