La SPA reporta que GGR de Bets suma unos US$7.000M en 2025
La Secretaría de Premios y Apuestas del Ministerio de Finanzas (SPA-MF) reportó, la a mediados de enero, que los ingresos brutos por el juego (GGR – Gross Gaming Revenue) de todas las empresas autorizadas ha sido alrededor de R$ 37.000 millones en 2025 – casi US$7.000 millones. Esta cantidad representa el total de apuestas, excluyendo los premios pagados. Es sobre esta cantidad donde se tiene la obligación de pagar el 12% de impuesto.
Según la última rueda de prensa para la recaudación por parte de la Agencia Tributaria, las casas de apuestas recaudaron aproximadamente R$ 9.950 millones (US$1.900 millones) en 2025. Estos datos se refieren a las cantidades recaudadas por la Hacienda, incluyendo impuestos federales como IRPJ, CSLL, PIS/Cofins y Contribución a la Seguridad Social, además de incluir el 12% de las asignaciones legales previstas en la Ley Nº 13.756/2018, que sumaron R$ 4.500 millones (US$851 millones). Además, se recaudaron
aproximadamente R$2.500 millones por subvenciones de autorización pagadas por agentes operativos autorizados y R$95,5 millones en tasas de inspección, también pagadas por empresas del sector, hasta diciembre 2025. Las 79 empresas autorizadas para operar en el país informaron que 25,2 millones de brasileños realizaron apuestas a lo largo de 2025. La SPA registra más de 25 mil sitios web ilegales bloqueados en 2025 Asimismo, en un año de mercado regulado para apuestas de cuota fija, o Bets, en Brasil la SPA-MF anunció el registro de más de 25 sitios ilegales que fueron bloqueados en colaboración con la Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Anatel). Dentro del ámbito de la SPA, el Subsecretario de Supervisión e Inspección registró, el año pasado, 132 procesos que implicaron a 133 Bets. De
estos procesos, 80 están en curso para la aplicación de sanciones. Para hacer inviables las transacciones financieras de empresas ilegales, el Ministerio de Finanzas también continuó con la supervisión e inspección de instituciones financieras (FIs) y de instituciones de pagos (IP). A finales de 2025, 54 FIs y IPs habían realizado 1.255 comunicaciones a SPA relacionadas con 1.687 personas con indicios de transferir fondos a empresas de apuestas no autorizadas, y como resultado se cerraron 550 cuentas bancarias, de las cuales 265 ya han sido identificadas como ilegales.
EL PERFIL DE LOS APOSTANTES
De los 25,2 millones de brasileños que hicieron apuestas el año pasado, el 68,3% son hombres y el 31,7% mujeres. La información se encuentra en el informe acumulado del Sistema de Gestión de Apuestas, Sigap, del Ministerio de Finanzas, que recibe diariamente datos de todas las apuestas realizadas por las 79 empresas autorizadas para explorar las apuestas de cuotas fijas o deportivas.
En cuanto a los grupos de edad, el mayor número de apostantes (28,6%) tiene entre 31 y 40 años. Los de entre 18 y 24 años suman un 22,7%, el mismo porcentaje que las personas de entre 25 y 30 años. El público entre 41 y 50 años representa el 16,7% del total de apostadores, mientras que las personas entre 51 y 60 años representan el 6,6%. Por último, los apostantes mayores de 61 años suman el 2,7% del total.

SPA-FM reports that Bets GGR reached almost US$7,000M in 2025
Brazil’s Gaming regulator - Secretaría de Premios y Apuestas del Ministerio de Finanzas (SPA-MF) – reported in mid-January, that Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of all authorized companies operating sports betting (Bets, as they are known locally), has been around R$ 37,000 million in 2025 – almost US$7 billion. This amount represents the total Bets receipts, excluding any prizes paid. It is on this amount that operators have the obligation to pay 12% tax.
According to the latest press conference for collection by the Tax Agency, approximately R$ 9,950 million (US$1.9 billion) was collected from bookmakers in 2025. Data refer to the amounts collected by the Treasury, including federal taxes such as IRPJ, CSLL, PIS/Cofins and Social Security Contribution, in addition to including 12% of the legal allocations provided for in Law No. 13,756/2018, which totalled R$ 4,500 million (US$851 million).
In addition, approximately R$2,500 million were collected from licensing authorizations paid by authorized operating agents and R$95.5 million in inspection fees, also paid by those companies, until December 2025. All 79 companies authorized to operate Bets in Brazil reported that 25.2 million Brazilians were registered in the betting sites in 2025. By the end of 2025, 54 FIs and IPs had made 1,255 reports to SPA related to 1,687 people with indications of transferring funds to unauthorized betting companies. As a result, 550 bank accounts were reported to have been closed, of which 265 have already been identified as illegal.
BETTOR PROFILE
Of the 25.2 million Brazilians who placed bets last year, 68.3% are men and 31.7% women. In terms of age groups, the largest number of bettors (28.6%) are between 31 and 40 years old.
