Can you give us a little background on Cane Creek?


Cane Creek is a fairly small, employee-owned company based in Western North Carolina. We’ve been building premium bike parts right here in the same building just south of Asheville since 1975 (50 years next year)! We’re surrounded by Pisgah National Forest, which is home to the highest mountains in all of Eastern North America – and it’s truly a magical and inspirational place to ride a bike. Under the former name Dia-Compe, our company was solely responsible for bringing the modern threadless bicycle headset to market. This effectively changed the way


all modern bicycles go together. Since then, our name may have changed, but we still are singularly focused on creating innovative, impactful components that bring unique and noticeable rider benefit every time you get on your bike. Our company vision is simple and it’s one that we genuinely refer to on a daily basis: We believe riding bikes makes life better, so we work to make bikes better.
