APPOINTMENTS This month’s movers and shakers throughout the cycle industry...
Rik Kienhuis Rik Kienhuis, Cannondale
Cannondale has appointed Rik Kienhuis as VP of products, with the move bringing a relocation from the Netherlands to the brand’s global head office in Wilton, Connecticut. The move sees Kienhuis transition
into the role of VP of products after nine years with the business, having previously held roles as global sales and operational planning director, customer service director, supply chain and customer service director, and operations director Europe, all based in the Netherlands. Kienhuis comments: “I’m energised
to get back to work tomorrow and use my skills, knowledge and experience in service of the team and our brand, to grow together and make iconic bicycles that just work better. Bicycles that make your ride better. “My family and I couldn’t have wished for a smoother move from the Netherlands to Connecticut, USA. The support of colleagues, family and friends has been truly remarkable.”
Koen van der Weerd Koen van der Weerd, Classified
Classified, the Belgian drivetrain brand, is strengthening its leadership team by appointing Koen van der Weerd as head of sales.
The announcement follows the recent appointments of Dennis Weijers as chief commercial officer and James Vickers as head of marketing and communications. With more than a decade of leadership
experience in the industry, Van der Weerd has a proven background in commercial strategy, business development and sales management. He has held key roles at Enviolo, where he was responsible for global revenue, and
Pon.bike, where he managed international sales for various high-profile brands. His extensive expertise makes him an invaluable asset for Classified as the brand grows in a competitive landscape. Mathias Plouvier, Classified CEO, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Koen to our team. His expertise and vision perfectly align with Classified’s goals and will positively impact our business.”
Martina Rumschick Martina Rumschick, Eurobike
Eurobike has bolstered its team with an expert from its own ranks. From September, Martina Rumschick
took over the newly-created position of head of brand and content for the international trade show. In this role, she will oversee the
strategic management of the Eurobike brand, enhance the show’s content and position the event in relation to its international competition. Rumschick already has extensive professional experience with the leading trade fair for the bike and ecomobility industry.
Since the founding of the event in 2021, she has supervised Eurobike as a project manager, starting with the inaugural event in Frankfurt and has played a major role in shaping its development ever since. “With the appointment of Martina
Rumschick as head of brand and content at Eurobike, we are sending a clear signal for the growth strategy and are bolstering its international competitiveness,” says Fairnamic director Stefan Reisinger.
