RETAILERS
ON THE CONTINENT V
eloroo started as a passion project between two lifelong friends from the UK who moved to Berlin. “I’d been in the bike industry for 10 years
already and I knew that I wanted to explore a bit more outside of the traditional setups we all know,” explains Richard Hudson, co-founder of Veloroo.
“I didn’t know in what capacity and then when Brexit was happening, I thought ‘right, I’m going now’ as I knew that once Brexit was completed at the end of 2020, my options would be dramatically reduced to start a new venture on the continent.” Fast forward to 2024, and Veloroo has locations in two of Germany’s biggest cities – Berlin and Munich. However, the Veloroo concept is quite different to the traditional German bike shop.
