Luxury in every detail Elsewhere, AEG, part of the Electrolux Group, is also pushing boundaries with its design- led, energy-efficient appliances. One of its newest products is the SaphirMatt hob range, developed in response to consumer feedback around durability and ease of cleaning. The 6000 Induction Extractor Hob features glass that is up to four times more scratch-resistant than standard ceramic finishes. In addition to its resilience, the design integrates extractor functionality with powerful induction cooking, providing a streamlined solution that eliminates the need for a separate cooker hood. The hobs also showcase AEG’s signature chamfered, polished edges and premium finishes. Michael White, Channel Manager at Electrolux

Group, says: “We recently celebrated the official launch of our new kitchen range of appliances, marking our most significant platform evolution in years. Designed and manufactured in Europe, the range sets a new benchmark in both innovation and design.” The aesthetic direction of the new range blends matte and gloss black finishes, accentuated with AEG’s Infinity Steel trim. “The Matt Black colourway has already earned a prestigious Red Dot Award, something we’re extremely proud of and a testament to the range’s outstanding aesthetics and functionality.” AEG’s oven line-up is equally ambitious. Central to the offering is the 8000 Series SteamPro oven, which includes the SteamPro function capable of retaining up to 90 per cent of food vitamins while achieving restaurant- quality cooking. These models also boast the award-winning CookSmart Touch and CookSmart Touch+ interfaces, providing one- touch access to curated recipes and guided functionality. “Consumers can get the very best from their oven by using AI TasteAssist in the AEG app, which helps users by recommending the optimal cooking settings based on the appliance’s capabilities,” adds Mr White.

AEG rests on a blend of advanced functionality and elegant design. “We position ourselves firmly within the premium segment by delivering cutting-edge, elegantly designed appliances that combine advanced technology with meaningful benefits for the user.” Features such as sous-vide cooking and Sense Boil technology, which helps prevent boil-overs, set AEG products apart by enhancing convenience and energy efficiency. “These innovations are about enhancing performance and user experience while supporting a more eco- conscious lifestyle, which is essential in today’s market.”

AEG has also noticed a shift in consumer

preferences. “Customers are looking for stylish and linear designs, and built-in major domestic appliances offer them more flexibility when it comes to choosing the right appliance for their home. Touch-screen panels on appliances are another design feature gaining popularity,” Mr White notes. “They’re quickly replacing dial and rotary controls to offer a more modern look and smarter experience, allowing for precise control through a simple tap or swipe.” For retailers, the brand recognises the importance of in-store experience. “We know that showrooms offer consumers a vital touchpoint, as it’s a chance to experience how our appliances can integrate into real kitchen environments. To support these efforts, we have a dedicated team of retailer-focused training managers who work closely with our partners and their staff. These experts are fully trained on our latest technologies and appliances, providing the in-depth product knowledge needed to help retailers deliver compelling demonstrations.”

Seamless style

ASKO is also making strides in the high-end appliance sector with its Pearl Grey 5-in-1 Compact Oven. This compact yet powerful unit combines five heating methods—full steam, microwave, conventional heat, combination microwave/oven, and combination steam/ oven—alongside an integrated warming drawer. “Built with longevity in mind, the 5-in-1 oven combines premium materials, timeless design, and energy-efficient innovation. It’s crafted not only to perform consistently at a high level but also to remain a trusted showpiece in the kitchen—delivering both form and function, year after year,” says Jessica Rhodes, Product & Marketing Manager at ASKO.

The brand is also launching its new ASKO Celsius NYACRAFT oven range in the UK this summer, incorporating Scandinavian craftsmanship and minimalist design. “With a minimalistic design, the cooking performance is optimised to deliver maximum precision thanks to a wide range of advanced yet easy- to-use features and cooking innovations,” Rhodes explains. One standout technology is Celsius°Cooking, an advanced system that uses multiple sensors to control moisture and measure internal temperatures across several points to reduce fluctuations and achieve perfect cooking results. Ms Rhodes notes the broader trend in Scandinavian-inspired design, where integrated finishes, clean lines, and functionality converge to support premium interiors. “There is a growing appreciation for multi-functional, space-saving appliances that deliver greater convenience and flexibility—perfect for modern lifestyles that demand versatility without compromising performance.”
