SWEET SUCCESS A Delightful Desserts franchisee’s journey in their own words

HARMINDER UPPAL, QUINTON

The support I had was extremely thorough – training at existing stores with experienced staff and then again once my store opened, plus support with my new team. I was also given an experienced staff member to work in my store alongside me for fi ve days. This was great, as I didn’t feel like I was just left to my own devices. I have felt really supported and assured since the day I joined Delightful Desserts. The training has enabled me to obtain all the skills and knowledge needed for the everyday running of the business. At any point if you're unsure about anything, support is only a phone call away, which for me is the best thing I could ask for.

I am no longer restricted to the usual 9-5 hours of work and having to answer to anyone. It’s great working for myself – what I put in is what I get out. Perks such as going on holiday when I want and working the business around my family commitments cannot be overstated! I'm very keen to succeed and the

business has enabled me to expand my ambitions, in less than a year I’ve already started work on my third store. The opportunities available and scope for growth is massive.

I can honestly say it's the best decision I’ve ever made. It gives me the fl exibility to work around my lifestyle and my children. If you go by the rules and follow the advice from the franchisor, there is nothing stopping you from achieving your potential. It shouldn't just stop at one store, if you're like me, and you're hungry for success then opening your third store within the fi rst year is a realistic prospect in this franchise. I would say if you are interested do

not hesitate! It will be the best move you will ever make.
