How did you get involved in franchising? I’ve always had a keen interest in business, especially leisure. I’ve worked in the leisure industry for 20 years and in franchising now for a little over six years with Anytime Fitness which I absolutely love as you are able to infl uence all areas of the business.


What is your career highlight? Breaking the Anytime Fitness world record on presales.

What was your childhood dream job? I always wanted be a football coach and I've been involved in grassroots football from a young age.

How do you relax? I struggle to relax – something I need to work on! However, long walks or bike rides help!

Which team(s) do you support? Liverpool! I try to get to see as many matches as possible with my 8-year-old son.


One piece of advice you’d give to anyone starting out in business? Provide great service. Whenever I hear anyone talk positively about a business, large or small, it’s always around the service they received. It's one of the things I love about Disney – the small touches they do to make it magical.


Fictional or historical character you most identify with – and why? Rocky alboa, I love the fi lms and the character, his determination to be the best version of himself and never give up.


How would you like to be remembered? As someone who always worked hard and tried their best, but most importantly as a good dad to my two children. l
