hen it comes to care, Home Instead franchisee Chris Carter certainly knows a thing or two. Having set

up and successfully run his franchise for over a decade, Chris also goes the extra mile to fundraise, taking on challenges in support of the charities Home Instead work with. Chris started his career as a community pharmacist

but always had a desire to run his own business and after discovering Home Instead, felt passionate about the quality of care provided and the difference they were making. Chris also felt Home Instead aligned well with his previous experience in healthcare, so took the plunge and entered the rewarding world of care, opening Home Instead’s orwich office in ebruary 2010 with his wife Akie. Over the last 13 years Chris has seen his business go

from strength to strength and has become an integral part of the local community, an important part of the Home Instead business model. He is proud to be supporting and working alongside charities such as Age UK Norwich and Marie Curie Cancer Care, seeing firsthand the work they do for the local community and how they all come together in supporting older people. The team at Home Instead are all involved with the

local community and Chris is also an active participant in fundraising and raising awareness. Chris’s latest achievement was completing the London Marathon, which saw him go beyond his fundraising target and raise over £1,400 for Age UK Norwich. Chris comments: “The work that charities such as

“I feel it my duty to support in any way I can... and get real satisfaction as a Home Instead franchise owner”

Age UK do, can also impact on the clients we care for at Home Instead, as a franchise owner, I feel it my duty to support in any way I can. I get real satisfaction as a Home Instead franchise owner, as we are able to make a real difference and work with charities who align with our passion for care, helping not only our clients, but others when they need care support.” Chris continues: “I’m so glad I made the career

move into franchising all those years ago. Building a business and a team that make such a positive impact is so rewarding”.
