Going for gold P

Leading sports franchise Premier offers a fun and rewarding business opportunity

INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £14,950

remier is the UK’s number- one sport and physical activity franchisor, delivering engaging sport, arts and wellbeing activities to over 2,500 schools

every week. Its proven and successful franchise model allows business owners to combine their passion for sport and business into an opportunity that has a positive impact on the lives of thousands of children. Last year alone, Premier recorded over 10 million visits on activities, delivering over 515,000 hours of physical activity. What really sets Premier apart

from its competitors – aside from the ongoing innovation and industry- leading programmes it can boast – is its commitment to developing children both mentally and physically, all while recording and evidencing the impact the company makes. The bespoke business management system that franchisees have access to allows Premier to record,

track and optimise data on children’s participation levels, fi tness levels and performance, share lesson plans and pupil improvement with school leaders, and assess ongoing performance of staff .

James Jennison: from telesales to running a £850,000 franchise While working in the banking industry, James Jennison discovered his passion and ability in sports coaching during a four- month trip to the US, where he and three friends worked as soccer coaches. In 2005, at the age of 23, and just four months after making his initial enquiries into franchising with the brand, James was running his own Premier business, something he would never have dreamt of just 12 months earlier. More than 10 years on from joining, James now runs six Premier franchise territories, and he generated over £850,000 in revenue over the last academic year.

He says: “Being able to make an impact on children’s lives is undoubtedly the most rewarding aspect of running a Premier franchise. We currently work with over 130 schools and more than 10,000 children per week. At a time when the physical activity levels and obesity are so topical, to know that we are positively impacting on so many children every week is a fantastic feeling.”
