Achievement Award on behalf of their longstanding member Darran Stanesby. Darran was diagnosed with a rare brain disease in 2000 called cerebellar ataxia, which impacts muscle coordination, affecting the ability to walk, speak and pick up objects. He was hospitalised in 2004 due to the disease, which left him paralysed and in need of extensive physiotherapy. Ever the fighter, Darran ploughed his efforts into training. By 2010, he had placed second in the UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation finals, going on to win the competition’s
