Skincare brand Guinot is celebrating its fi rst multi-unit franchisee in the UK

INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £20,000 I

n November last year, the Guinot team joined franchisee Tina Rai to celebrate the opening of her second franchise. Tina became a Guinot franchisee in 2014, opening her

fi rst salon in Gerrards Cross; just three years later, she opened her second site in Beaconsfi eld, Buckinghamshire. Guinot was established over 50 years ago and remains a pioneering skincare brand being consistently ranked as one of the top salon names in the UK and Ireland. Driven by results, and famous for its machine-based and manual treatment technologies, Guinot is continually investing in research and development to remain at the forefront of the industry. You will fi nd Guinot treatments and

products in over 10,000 appointed salons and spas in 70 countries worldwide and, most recently, through its growing network of franchise salons. The success of the franchise model in France has led Guinot to bring this unique and exciting opportunity to the UK and Ireland. When Guinot asked Tina how her franchise journey has been and what it’s like being a Guinot franchisee, she said: “When I opened my fi rst Guinot franchise in 2014, my long-term ambition was to expand with a second salon. The fact that we have been able to open a second branch within three years is testament to the power of the Guinot brand in attracting clients looking for professional skincare. It’s been hard work building up the Gerrards Cross salon, but once I achieved the level of growth in sales and profi tability set out in my original business plan I felt it was the right time to open up my second salon. “The overall success of my fi rst franchise exceeded my expectations, and although the key to that was the commitment and hard work my husband and I put in, I don’t believe I could have done it without the great team of therapists we have built up and the expertise and support from the Guinot team.

“A good marketing strategy is crucial for the success of a business in such a competitive and thriving industry, so the level of marketing support I receive from Guinot is certainly one of the main reasons for my success so far. Seasonal promotions

are planned by Guinot and delivered to us straight to the salon every six weeks, along with easy step-by-step guides on how to implement the marketing strategy. By not having to spend time developing my own marketing plan I am able to focus on other more important aspects of the business, such as my team and the service we are providing our clients.

“Being a Guinot franchisee is rewarding

revenue-wise, but helping my clients to achieve their skin goals really is my favourite part of the job. Not only do I see the physical changes I make to my clients’ skin, but I also see their overall attitude and confi dence in life change due to the specialist care my team and I provide.”

Guinot continues its search to expand its franchise network. To be a Guinot franchisee you do not need to have any beauty qualifi cations, you just need a passion for the health and beauty industry itself. By becoming a Guinot franchisee, you would be joining a successful and supportive franchise family with other like- minded business individuals like Tina.
