Esquires Coffee

What did you do before franchising and what made you look into it? Most of my life was spent within the restaurant industry and I happened to do some consultancy work for a few coffee shops. I kind of fell in love with it, and when I found Esquires it just felt right!

Why this sector and Esquires Coffee in particular? I love the romance of a coffee shop – a home away from home, and Esquires is exactly that. Additionally, I am a lover of the independent scene and this is the franchise that comes closest to that.

How has trading been so far? Amazing! It’s been far better than I expected. I find it hard to get away from it!

What kind of training and support did you receive? The team was great in allowing me to get into other stores and seeing how the operations work – that was key. It allowed me to analyse and pinpoint any challenges I may come across and prepare for it. The in-store training in my new

Esquires was invaluable. I would highly recommend to follow the

team’s leadership and to get as much training as possible rather than rushing an opening.

What are the specific advantages of franchising in the food and drink industry?

It has to be the business-in-a-box solution. Coming in and having recipes, processes and tried-and-trusted suppliers already in place makes opening and running a business a lot easier.

Would you recommend franchising in this sector? Absolutely! It’s a no brainer for me!
