Franchise Focus The grass is greener
Branch out with a Greensleeves franchise, as the business continues to grow across the UK
INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £24,950 G
reensleeves is one of the UK’s largest, fastest-growing and oldest established lawn care providers. Through its network of 84 franchises
across the UK, it off ers high-quality, aff ordable lawn care treatments to over 50,000 customers. Greensleeves continues to grow from
strength to strength. In 2015 it was rewarded with an endorsement from the consumer champion Which?, and it is extremely proud to become the fi rst national lawn care company on the Which? trusted-trader scheme. Greensleeves believes that there is a
great deal of satisfaction and pleasure from looking out onto a well-kept lawn, free of weeds and moss. However, achieving the dream can be tricky and time consuming, which is why its customers turn to the Greensleeves team year after year for expert care and help. Greensleeves uses only top-quality
products with ‘no-scorch’ technology – no need to water in – combined with time-release granules that supply a steady amount of nitrogen to provide a long- lasting green lawn. The treatments are safe for children, pets and plants, and the services often work out cheaper than doing it yourself, allowing you to spend more time enjoying the lawn you love. The job of a Greensleeves franchisee is to analyse, advise on and treat their customers’ lawns, visiting at least fi ve times a year to ensure the lawn is kept green and healthy throughout the seasons. Services range from seasonal treatment programmes through to specialist applications, such as scarifi cation, hollow tine aeration and reseeding, depending upon the requirements of each individual customer’s lawn. Greensleeves has a high customer demand for its services and many of its new customers are largely generated by personal referrals from existing satisfi ed customers. As a result, Greensleeves needs more franchisees to roll out its high-quality service across the country. Greensleeves is a business that grows with its franchisees’ enthusiasm and hard work, with the opportunity to reap
the fi nancial benefi ts straightaway. Many franchisees now employ staff and own more than one van to cover a much larger demographic area, servicing more customers’ lawns and increasing their turnover as a direct result. With 84 successful trading areas at
present and plenty of potential for future growth, Greensleeves off ers an excellent franchisee package. The head offi ce has experienced staff and advisers on hand to assist you with administration, allowing you to get on with the day-to-day routine of your business. Greensleeves also works with independent marketing agencies, each specialising in promoting the Greensleeves brand with online and offl ine marketing, search engine optimisation and social media.
Previous experience running a business or a background in lawn care is not necessary. Greensleeves has an incredible management system that frequently delivers support and training to franchisees in order to help them succeed. Every new franchisee receives two weeks of intensive training on all aspects of the business, from the treatments themselves through to fi nance and marketing, to ensure they are fully prepared.
After the initial training period
Greensleeves will maintain support though face-to-face practical meetings, ensuring you are happy with all the treatments and techniques. The company directors are all franchisees in their own right so can provide assistance and guidance when required and help you with any issues that may arise.
