Franchise Focus A safe bet

Invest in a C2 Safety franchise, the fi rst of its kind in the UK INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £20,000

The fi rst safety consultancy franchise in the UK

In January 2017 Somerset-based health and safety adviser fi rm C2 Safety became the fi rst risk management company in the UK to launch its business model as a franchise. To date, C2 Safety has had more than 80 enquiries from prospective franchisees.

Having successfully traded in and

across the South West for over 20 years, the award-winning business is launching its latest venture, franchising – taking its services all over the UK and growing even further.

C2 Safety has become the fi rst company in the UK to off er franchise opportunities for safety advisers. The long-established company has developed a strong, successful brand and is now excited to be able to off er C2 Safety as a franchise.

What is C2 Safety? C2 Safety was acquired by Jerome Timbrell in 2007 and off ers a retained safety advice service, with a wide range of services designed to help companies comply with the law and guidelines on all aspects of risk management.

The company now seeks to expand the delivery of its services across the UK through a subsidiary company, C2 Safety and a network of franchised safety advisers. The franchisor is a member of the British Franchise Association.

Why is C2 Safety special? C2 Safety sets itself apart from competitors by not tying customers down with a lengthy contract and by providing a local dedicated safety adviser, not just a distant voice on a helpline. It also off ers bespoke policies for each customer, rather than following the typical one-size-fi ts-all template service.

In addition to this exciting opportunity, C2 Safety has an innovative way of supporting charities, making a surprise donation each time it gains a new client and has raised over £45,000 over the last 10 years.

What does the C2 Safety franchise off er its franchisees?

The company is focused on making

owning and managing your C2 Safety franchise as easy as possible, with the benefi t of a back-offi ce team that off ers a wide portfolio of services for you and your clients. Together with direct debit-collection invoices and fi rst-line credit control, franchisees will benefi t from a personal and quality service that exceeds that off ered by larger competitors.

“When you join the C2 Safety team, a dedicated franchise manager will be assigned to support your business, assisting you with your launch, and will work with you to grow sales and ensure that brand standards are met”

You will have access to Salus, the state- of-the-art database and IT system, which has a full suite of base risk assessments, safety arrangements and policies to assist with the creation of customer-specifi c safety documentation for your clients. Franchisees will be fully trained in all aspects of owning and operating a C2 Safety franchise. The initial training course will take place over two weeks and will be carried out at the C2 Safety head offi ce in Somerset.

You will also be supported by an ongoing programme of services designed to help you grow your business. C2 Safety has established a marketing policy that has steadily increased sales year by year.

When you join the C2 Safety team, a dedicated franchise manager will be assigned to support your business, assisting you with your launch, and will work with you to grow sales and ensure that brand standards are met.

What does C2 Safety look for in prospective franchisees? The company is incredibly focused and proud of the level of customer service that is off ered to its clients. Any franchisee must genuinely want to help their customers and work to the company’s existing standards. Unsurprisingly, with a business that generates a large amount of legally binding paperwork for its customers, you must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to spell. In order to provide safety advice you must be qualifi ed to a minimum of General Certifi cate level with the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health.
