Franchise Focus The perfect fi t

Cook up a profi t with a Mobalpa franchise as it continues to grow throughout the UK

INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £100,000 C

elebrating eight UK showrooms within fi ve years, leading French kitchen manufacturer Mobalpa is continuing its ambitious franchise plans to expand

across the country. With more than 400 outlets worldwide, Mobalpa launched in the UK in 2012 with a concept pilot showroom in Warrington. Since then, showrooms have opened across London and in West Yorkshire. The Mobalpa UK team works in partnership with its franchisees creating a network of support. Before investing, prospective franchisees undertake a full testing process, which all Mobalpa directors, designers and managers have completed. Training days take place at the concept showroom, followed by a seven-week programme in France where prospects are briefed on running a kitchen showroom, the products and the selling

process. The UK team then continue to support all franchisees with business and retail skills, utilising their combined retail experience in the country. With plans to expand the franchise network across the country, the kitchen brand requires those with the ability to multitask, be forward-facing in a customer environment and have the motivation to succeed to join the network. Kyle Whittle, national franchise development manager, says: “We’re excited about our continuing growth and are looking forward to meeting new prospects with the drive to run their own business as part of a leading kitchen brand.”

The package includes the brand name and ongoing support from the Mobalpa group, including regular network meetings, marketing support, training and development of the showroom.

David Akporehe, owner of the recently opened Walton-on-Thames showroom, says: “I decided to open a Mobalpa franchise after a thorough search for a new business. I was impressed by the business model and the range of quality products that Mobalpa off ers to the market, and encouraged by the UK team and their transparency about the opportunity. “My visit to the factory in Thônes, France, sealed the deal as I got to see the company’s passion for the industry fi rst-hand. I’m thrilled with the showroom and with the variety of kitchen and living solutions we have on display.”
