Spotlight Franchise
Introducing… C
2 Safety is the UK’s first safety consultancy to look to franchise the business. The Somerset- based firm has grown consistently over the past
20 years and sees now as the ideal opportunity to roll out its offering across the UK.
The long-established company has developed a strong, successful brand and is now excited to be able to offer C2 Safety as a franchise.
C2 Business Solutions was acquired
by Jerome Timbrell in 2007 from an independent safety consultant and has grown tenfold over the last 10 years. The company offers a retained safety advice service, with a wide range of services designed to help companies comply with the law and guidelines on all aspects of risk management, including: • Performing workplace inspections • Advising clients as issues arise • Assisting in writing method statements and procedures
• Assisting in writing risk assessments • Creating safety policies • Completion of safety questionnaires • Carrying out fire risk assessments • Chairing safety committees • Face-fit testing (to ensure face masks fit correctly)
• Providing safety training • Accident investigations.
…C2 Safety, the UK’s first risk management franchise
The company has consistently invested in cutting-edge software to facilitate efficient data management in order to quickly and easily create safety documentation and risk assessments for clients. The current system is called Salus, meaning ‘safety’ in Latin, and is accessible from any internet-enabled device. This means that the advisers are able to produce paperwork for clients while at their premises. Workplace inspections are completed using a customer-specific bespoke form on an iPad that easily highlights any issues found and is signed by the customer’s representative and emailed before leaving. C2 Safety sets itself apart from competitors by not tying its customers into lengthy contracts and by providing a local dedicated safety adviser, not just a distant voice on a helpline. It also offers bespoke policies for each customer, as well as not following the typical one-size-fits-all template service.
The company is a member of the British Safety Council, British Fire Consortium, and is Trading Standards-recognised under the Buy With Confidence scheme. Earlier this year it attained provisional membership of the British Franchise Association. The company prides itself on being
different from the traditional safety advisers, who focus on helping their customers with the service bias being key to their
offering. The company’s core values are to be helpful, professional and respectful to customers, suppliers and each other. It is the company’s focus on its customers, providing what they need when they need it and making life easier for them, that has seen year-on-year substantial growth. Managing director Jerome Timbrell says: “Our job is to keep our customers working in a safe and efficient manner. We have won awards for our level of customer service and innovative offering and fully intend to carry on growing and improving what we do.” C2 Safety’s charitable giving programme means that it makes a donation to two nominated charities every time it engages with a new client. It has raised over £45,000 in the last 10 years and it fully intends to more than double this over the next five years. In order to assist with the substantial
growth over the past years and the expansion that franchising will bring, the company has attained the highly valued ISO 9001 quality standard. This demonstrates the company’s commitment to meeting the highest standards of regulatory requirements and its consistency.
