across the country talk about leading a business team (and thinking about who could potentially be our next PM), it made me wonder what makes a good manager and, more importantly, what makes a great leader. me, including: approachable, empathetic, someone who makes a good cuppa (I’ll ignore that one), and a good delegator. But, what was repeated most was a manager’s ability to support and encourage a team. According to Sheryl Sandberg, the COO of Facebook: “Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence.” So with all this in mind, let’s hope our new prime minister is much like this month’s franchisees and invested in managing the country.
