Week organisers Georgina Abbott and Becky Weaver visiting the NY Easter Parade
As Barcelona celebrated 20 years of the city’s renowned Passejada amb Barret (Hat Stroll), hat lovers around the world paraded through the streets of their local cities in support, creating the first World Hat Walk. The events were organised by local hat and millinery associations, guilds and groups across 21 locations worldwide, all invited to do so by the organisers of London Hat Week. A selection of photos taken during these events and shared with The Hat Magazine is shown here. In Lyon, the Fédération Française des
Artisans du Chapeau saw over 100 people join the event. Lyon milliner Fusanna led a paper-hat workshop, ensuring that every participant wore something on their head. Meanwhile in Scotland,

80 participants gathered for the Hat Walk in Fife, also raising funds for Brain Tumour Research. Millinery Australia hosted events
in four locations: Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. The Milliners Association of Nigeria arranged for 40 local members to come together in Ikeja, concluding the stroll at Graces Hats. In South Korea, around 100 participants enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the bustling avenue of Gangnam. A week earlier, on Easter Sunday as
traditionally, the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival took place in New York. Members of the Milliners Guild joined the parade on Fifth Avenue, proudly wearing creations showcasing their own craft.
