HEMP

Hemp is a natural plant fibre extracted from the bast of Cannabis sativa. True hemp is fine, light-coloured and lustrous. It is one of the most environmentally friendly fibres as it does not need any fertilisers, herbicides or pesticides to grow well.

It can grow up to 4 metres in just 3 months and is 8 times stronger than cotton.

CROCHETED ABACA

Crocheted abaca is hand-woven from long abaca fibres, using a crochet technique.

HEMP BRAID

Hemp braid is a loosely woven braid. It provides comfort and strength, and is very flexible.

JINSIN/BUNTAL

Jinsin is a very fine and closely woven material with flexibility, allowing it to be curved and manipulated vertically in a variety of shapes. It is made with buntal fibres interwoven with polycotton threads.

BUNTAL

Buntal is made from fibre from unopened palm leaves or stems of the buri palm. The buri palm is a genus of palms native to India, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, New

Guinea and northeastern Australia. All the species are monocarpic and die after flowering. The genus is

relatively slow growing and can take many years to form a trunk.
