Hat Walk
On Sunday, the final day of LHW22, the London Hat Walk attracted over 100 participants, all proudly wearing their hats. Liz Waldy, who planned and led the procession, made
sure that enough shade was included in the route as it was another hot and sunny day.
LHW22 concluded in the afternoon with a mad hatter’s tea party. “We decided to end with a gathering party this
year, instead of doing an opening party,” said Becky. “When we started planning, it was still spring, so the situation was
different from August. Therefore, we were very cautious about the risks and had to think all the time: ‘What if regulations change?’ We figured it might not be a good idea to put everybody together at the beginning of the event in case there would be an outbreak. That worked out very well in many ways – it was nice to be able to thank everybody for coming and to say goodbye at the end of the event.”
