FRENCH OBS GETS SERIOUS WITH MULTI-FUNCTIONAL SIRIUS Gravity Media BY DAVID FOX


Gravity Media has expanded its operations in France with the introduction of a new multi-functional outside broadcast truck, Sirius. The custom-built OB supports 18 cameras, with up to three vision operators, two replay operators and an OB supervisor position. It can accommodate 14 staff in climate- controlled comfort.


This truck has been designed specifi cally for the rench and


European broadcast market and has already been successfully deployed at the ARES Fighting Championship (the French MMA league), an International Outdoor Meeting of Athletics and the Archery World Cup.


Facilities include: a Sony MVS 8000G 3.5 ME mixer; a Calrec Brio 96 audio console; three EVS eight- channel replay systems, plus EVS XFile 3 and an EVS IP Director; and a 128-port Riedel Artist intercom.
