Builder Mota Engil Opens 2022
In Spring 2022, W Hotels’ first Portugal property will open in the Algarve. Its 134 guest rooms feature Atlantic colors and asymmetrical forms, which mimic the nearby cliffs, while dynamic tile designs pay tribute to Portuguese heritage. The hotel’s 10 WOW suites each provide two floors of state-of-the- art resort living while the Extreme WOW Suite, the brand’s interpretation of a presidential suite, features a panoramic rooftop terrace, including a DJ booth, dining and bar area and infinity plunge pool, its design inspired by nearby caves and villages. The hotel’s F&B offer includes: poolside bar SIP,
serving all-day cocktails and a healthy fusion menu; The Market Kitchen, which takes its inspiration from local markets and offers fresh international and regional cuisine; Italian restaurant Paper Moon where fish is the star of the menu; and three bars, the Living Room, Sea Sky and champagne sunset deck AIR, where the selection of sparkling wines pays homage to the vines planted in 2000 BC by the Tartessians in the Sado and Tagus valleys. W Algarve’s AWAY Spa features six treatment
rooms, a Beauty Bar and a covered outdoor relaxation area, while the fitness area offers 134 sq m (1,440 sq ft) of indoor space and 300 sq m (3,230 sq ft) of outdoor space with a view.
