A. Energy Transfer Apparatus - Malvern Mounted Motor for Solar Cell
Energy Transfer Apparatus - Malvern Mounded Motor for Solar Cell.
This is a small low consumption electric motor on a base specially designed to run directly from the output of the solar cell and to illustrate the direct conversion of light energy to electrical and hence to mechanical.
Fitted on a base with a 2.5” fan and 4mm sockets. The base is 4” long, 3” wide, and 1.3” tall.
CP00051879 B. Mounted Lamp: 12V, 24W
For use with the mounted solar cell and a solar motor. A 12V 24W S.B.C. bulb in a metal socket mounted on a folded metal base 100 x 63mm with a pair of 4mm sockets. The power rating of the bulb has been chosen so that when it is placed in front of the solar cell sufficient power is produced to run a solar motor effectively whilst avoiding the risk of damage to the cell by excess light and/or heat.
E8H76804 C. Mounted Solar Cell
To demonstrate the production of electrical energy directly from light energy. The apparatus comprises a selenium photo-voltaic cell housed in a plastic case with a diffusing lens front 25 x 25mm. Dimensions: 100 x 45 x 65mm.
E8H25705 D. Hand Generator Set
Involve students in investigations by using their own energy to generate d.c. electricity. If the handle is turned slowly, a bulb for example, will light dimly; if turned faster, the bulbs become brighter. A high quality motor unit driven from the hand crank via 2 stage step up gearing. Capable of generating approximately 6V d.c., with the polarity determined by the direction in which the handle is turned. Supplied with 1m of detachable twin lead terminating in a pair of crocodile clips. Dimensions: 140 x 114 x 39mm. Mass: 115g.
