Magnetism | Electricity and Magnetism | Physics A. Magnetic Field Demonstrator
Simple and handy, shows the magnetic lines of forces when a magnet is placed, 46 compasses fixed around the magnet to realize the magnetic lines of force. Complete with magnet.
E8R08074 B. Magnetic Field Demonstrator
The Magnetic Field Demonstrator comprises a set of four transparent plastic plates 153 x 76 x 6mm. Each plate has a matrix of 98 (14 x 7) small circular chambers, each chamber containing an iron rod and functioning effectively as a plotting compass. The plates may be arranged in various ways, e.g. as a single large two dimensional surface, as faces of a cube etc. and in this way may be used to show configuration of a magnetic field in one or two dimensions. The transparent nature of the plates also make them suitable for use on an overhead projector.

D. Axial and Lateral Search Coils
The Search Coil consists of 5000 turns of very fine copper wire on a bobbin fixed at one end of fibreglass board (Electrically insulated and non magnetic) and on the other end two 4 mm socket terminals are fitted. It can be used to determine field strengths or flux density inside the air gap of magnets or solenoids. A d.c. or a.c. signal can be applied to the search coils to study the effect of interacting magnetic fields. The Axial coil has the coil mounted with its axis parallel to the axis of the PCB board. The Lateral coil has the coil mounted with its axis at 90 degrees to the axis of the PCB board.

E. Magnetic Filings in Plastic Tube
This giant magnetic tube has a double wall with iron filings between the two layers to show a 3 dimensional view of the magnetic field around the magnet supplied. The magnet is removable and the filings are safely encased. Size: 130 x 90mm.
