Gas Preparation and Analysis | Chemistry A. Electrode Holder
A robust acrylic base, 130mm wide with two crocodile clip holders. The crocodile clips hold standard 5mm carbon rod or strip metal electrodes and can be connected to with 4mm leads. For use in electrolysis, electro-plating etc. Dimensions: 128 x 35 x 25mm. Mass 0.034kg.
E8R07712 B. Carbon Electrodes
Carbon Electrodes mounted on a rubber stopper for use with the Hoffman Voltameter. E8R05772
C. Carbon Rod
100mm rod to be used with Hoffmans Voltameter carbon electrodes. E8A37242
D. Electrodes: S-Type
Short S-type for hanging on side of 100cm beaker, carbon elements attached to stiff wire connectors with shrink-fit plastic insulation.
Electrical connection by crocodile clips. E8H25031
E. Brownlee Water Electrolysis Apparatus
Simple and economical type of electrolysis apparatus. Platinum electrodes are attached to insulated connecting rods which are attached to binding posts mounted on a non-conducting support. The support rests across the top of a battery jar (not included) and has two clips that each hold an inverted test tube. Operates on 6V battery or 10V d.c. power supply.
E8R08071 F. Salt Bridge
For use in experiments involving the measurement of cell EMF under conditions of forward, zero and reverse current flow. The bridge comprises an inverted “U” tube with its ends closed by sintered discs. This apparatus provides a more effective method of making reversible cells than the wet filter paper or agar gel methods. Diameter of arms 13 mm.
