Theatre Scholarships ‚ Theatre scholarships are available for theatre majors who show outstanding ability in acting, directing or technical theatre. Students audition or interview in the spring. In order to maintain a scholarship, students must earn a C or better in their theatre classes and be active in the department. For specific information, contact the Chair of the Theatre Department.


Family Scholarship ‚ A full-time student who has a sibling enrolled full- time at North Greenville University during the same semester is eligible to receive a scholarship of $250 per semester.


NGU Alumni Scholarship ‚ Children and grandchildren of NGU alumni must submit an application to the Alumni Office. Please obtain an application from the website or Alumni Office.


Christian Ministry Scholarship ‚ The Christian Ministry Scholarship Fund provides scholarship assistance to worthy undergraduate students who have been called by God and are preparing for full-time Christian vocational ministry at North Greenville University. Applications may be completed online at https://www.ngu.edu/christian- ministry-scholarship-application.php. The application deadline is January 15.


Awana Scholarship ‚ $500 scholarship to students who earn the Meritorious Trophy or the Citation Award. The scholarship will be renewable each year as long as the student maintains a 2.5 GPA. Must provide a letter from Awana Director stating you have completed the program.


Boys/Girls State Scholarship ‚ $1,000 scholarship a year to students who have participated in the Boys/Girls State Program. Must provide a copy of the certificate that the student participated.


International Student Scholarship ‚ $3,000 (Residents) and $1,500 (Commuters) is awarded to eligible students who are enrolled on an F1 Visa. An NGU GPA of 2.0 must be maintained for renewal.


T. Walter Brashier & Family Scholarship Fund ‚ For new incoming students beginning Fall 2019, this scholarship is offered to students who have a parent that is a pastor or missionary serving full-time or bi-

vocationally at an Evangelical church or organization. The scholarship is awarded at $750 per semester and is renewable. A recipient of this scholarship will not be considered for the Southern Baptist Employee’s Children Scholarship or the Southern Baptist Missionary Children Scholarship. Preference is given to students from the Upstate of South Carolina. A scholarship form is required. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.


Jessica Sachs Memorial Scholarship ‚ This scholarship will be given in memory of Miss Jessica Sachs to any student who is a member of any Baptist church affiliated with the New England Baptist Convention. Miss Sachs was a passenger on the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. The $3,000 scholarship will be for four years while the student is enrolled at NGU and given in lieu of the Out of State Residential Grant. The student must maintain a 2.5 GPA in order to renew the scholarship each year. The student must submit a letter on church letterhead (from the church Pastor or Secretary) verifying regular church attendance and affiliation with the New England Baptist Convention to the Financial Aid Office.


Resident Assistant Scholarship ‚ Those students chosen to be resident assistants in the dorms receive a scholarship. Please contact Student Life for more information.


Southern Baptist Missionary Children Scholarship ‚ North Greenville University will award up to $12,000 per year. Award amounts are determined after considering the applicant’s academic merit and financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).


‚ North Greenville University will provide the following to dependent children of appointed, full-time missionaries with the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention:


‚ Students living on campus will receive up to $12,000. ‚ Students living off campus will receive up to $6,000.


‚ Qualifying missionaries must be serving on the field full-time.


‚ The scholarship is renewable annually, provided the student maintains a 2.5 GPA.


‚ This scholarship will be awarded for eight semesters of full-time enrollment


‚ Additional semesters and exceptions to this policy will be made by the Vice President for Enrollment Services.


‚ Recipients of this scholarship are not eligible for the Minister’s Dependent Scholarship or the Southern Baptist Employee’s Children Scholarship.
